James Accumanno, JD

James joined Karyopharm in May 2021 as the Executive Director of Legal and Compliance and was promoted to Chief Compliance Officer in October 2022. James is responsible for ensuring that Karyopharm remains compliant with healthcare-related laws and regulations and that the Company upholds the highest standards of business ethics.

James brings more than a decade of legal and compliance experience to his role. Prior to joining Karyopharm, James led the commercial legal team at AMAG, where he provided solutions-oriented advice to commercial, market access, and medical affairs. Previously, James worked in legal and compliance at Novo Nordisk and Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals. At Novo Nordisk, James was responsible for the compliance risk, monitoring, and auditing function as well as training.

James holds a JD from University of Southern California Law School and Bachelor’s degrees in History and Philosophy from Penn State.
